“My 1 year old puppy Miley did a two week board and train with Brenda and came home a new pup. Walks in the neighborhood that were once stressful became enjoyable, we can go into coffee shops and I know she will sit quietly by my side, I feel armed with the tools to help manage when guests come over, everything just feels easier. I also appreciate that Brenda remains a sounding board for all of my training questions. Of course, we have a lot of work to do to hit my goal of her being a true adventure doggy so she will be going back to Brenda to level up soon!!!”

“We cannot recommend Brenda highly enough, her generosity of patience, time, and experience was pivotal in our journey to deepen our relationship to our dog. Brenda has a wealth of knowledge that every dog owner of all experience levels could benefit and learn from. She was exceptionally thorough with her coaching both of our dog Leo and of us as owners. Her patience to ensure we understood concepts she was teaching was key in giving us the confidence to foster a healthier structured environment, which Leo absolutely needed to better thrive in life. She helped us understand our stoic and anxious dog and his needs. Every challenge we presented to her (he hates cats, he doesn’t like big dogs, will chase squirrels, has used his mouth to correct other dogs) she beamed with joy as she confidently assured us she could help us. Brenda not only honored his stoic and anxious nature she persisted to instill healthy boundaries and challenges gave him the tools he needed to form good habits. In his time during the board and train, he learned to tolerate being in the same room as a cat without lunging outside of a crate (what?!), mastered the long structured walk, was e collar trained, and made massive improvements in his recall/off leash abilities . Brenda was just the reset we needed for our relationship with our dog. We had fallen into a routine that needed to be leveled up. Brenda was they missing key to that.”

“Tyson is a almost 2 year old European Doberman. He did a 2 week Board & Train with Brenda. She's the best! Before he went to Brenda, he was a busy body that resisted napping. Everything was go-go-go and didn't know how to settle. Walking him was very difficult as he had zero leash sensitivity and wouldn't connect to his handler. Because of Brenda, Tyson is able to hang out with us around the house, settle nicely, we can eat food around him, he walks nicely on a leash! She also set up the foundation of e-collar with him and that has been an advantageous tool for us and practicing off-leash! Brenda is very communicative and sends you videos explaining the things she is doing. Even after we brought him home, she was supportive on explaining things that we were struggling to replicate. She's patient and very sweet. Tyson and I love Brenda and her pack! Highly recommend her.”

“Hi my name is Joellen and my dogs name is Astro. We have gone to pack walks and done trainings and it has helped us a lot with structured socialization and his reactivity. I am so grateful for her to share her knowledge and expertise.”

“Private Sessions, Boarding, and Pack Walks Brenda was the result of looking for trainers with e-collar experience that matched my own theology around dog handling and following the right people on social media at the right time. While Peabody got to the point where it was just a matter of repetition and practice, Brenda did an amazing job ensuring I understood what we were doing and why (love understanding why). Private sessions were a great balance of being around my home and in new surroundings and bringing in new animals (mostly dogs but occasionally her cat) to practice handling around distractions. As for boarding, I've never felt safer with Peabody staying with someone. Fortunately, he's had a fair amount of training so it seemed pretty easy to bring Peabody into the mix and join things like pack walks and other outings. I got to see plenty of videos so I knew what he was up to and how he got just as much if not more structure than I provide at home. I knew he went to bed every night tired and fulfilled. And lastly, pack walks -- a great way to build more community and get some practice in. I love that Brenda is looking for ways to evolve the business to better support clients. I think for Peabody's progression, it started with private sessions and pack walks/group classes just naturally came next (we did group classes elsewhere but felt that we quickly outgrew the knowledge and style of training there). They're a great middle ground between using demo dogs (extremely well balanced and neutral) and stranger dogs (unknown neutrality and behavior). At least here, others usually have a base level of training and have the patience and understanding to let you work through any tough spots with your dog. Beyond the actual training, I think Brenda's Instagram stories are a great way to get more insight on dog training and how to mod behaviors/provide structure/enforce good behaviors. The more people I meet, the more I realize how small the dog community is in southern California especially for balanced training (seems like everyone I meet knows others in the circle). It's been a big blessing to surround myself with others that understand the side of dog ownership that's about learning and growing. Brenda was my start to a lot of that (esp. the community part) but certainly not my end. She's provided a lot of peace and an even better bond with my Velcro dog.”

“Brenda was so fantastic, and such a huge help with our dog, Baloo! She was very knowledgable, personable and efficient when guiding us to reach the goals we set with our rescue staffy! Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Brenda has worked with me in one-on-one sessions with my foster dog, Doja, and it has been immensely helpful! While I watch plenty of videos and training content, it has been so helpful to see it in person and get actual feedback, instead of just hoping I’m doing things correctly. It’s also nice to have the ability to ask questions and get help with new tools that I’ve never used before. I feel SO much more confident in my training, Doja has improved a ton, and I am so grateful. I also want to mention that training can be intimidating and embarrassing when you know your dog isn’t well-behaved, but Brenda is very warm, kind, and non-judgemental, and it’s absolutely worth getting out of your comfort zone to work with her and improve you and your dogs lives.”

“I would not have been able to keep my foster (turned foster fail) if it weren’t for Brenda’s amazing help and guidance. Working through issues like MAJOR reactivity and separation anxiety, she taught us both patience & structure, and gave me the support to help my pup work through it. Her approach is always kind and gentle, but clear and firm, which dogs need! We’re forever grateful for her help! 10/10 recommend!”
